It was eventually necessary to leave AVG altogether, and find an AV vendor who knows the importance of supporting end users and resellers.įrom a disillusioned, long time True Believer, if you require a dependable AV solution backed up by the company that produces it, avoid AVG. Requests sent to AVG Technologies would stagnate for weeks before a reply came back.
At least the local office would respond to support requests. In fact, the problems with my local office likely resulted in large part to the poor support they were getting from AVG Technologies proper. But the problems were not restricted to that office. The AVG office in my state in the US, just plain sucks at supporting resellers. Long delays in responding to support requests, regular issues in functionality, added up to a serious problem for my clients. Over that time, as AVG grew as a company and in popularity, particularly after 2012, their support went downhill fast.
I used, recommended and sold their products. They had a solid anti-virus solution and good support. From the late '90s through mid-2015, I was a True Believer in AVG Technologies.
